Laurentino Gonzalez, 43, of Fayette Street, was arrested Friday and charged with driving while intoxicated.  — Officers found him dozing behind the wheel of a running car at the intersection of Broad and Laurel Streets. — An investigation revealed that he was intoxicated. Invader charged in child kidnapping attempt

A 43-year-old homeless man has been charged with trying to abduct a 12-year-old girl from a car parked outside a Gainesville grocery store, the Gainesville Times reports. — Francisco Deleon-Ruiz, an alleged illegal immigrant, was charged with attempted kidnapping and being a pedestrian under the influence in connection with the Saturday evening incident. — The child was sitting in a car outside Meeks Grocery on Atlanta Highway, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s office. Suspected invader held in child sex assault case

Authorities say a suspected illegal immigrant is behind bars following accusations that he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl at the Frontier Town Campground on Route 611 near Berlin.  —  The incident is alleged to have happened early Sunday morning, July 10, according to the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation.
