Two people were arrested and 12 vehicles were impounded during a sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint in Escondido on Saturday night, police said. — Officers held the checkpoint in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Fig Street, said Lt. Tom Albergo. Police also conducted a roving DUI patrol in the city that lasted until 3 a.m. Sunday, Albergo said. — During the operation, police found a driver whose license was suspended and had a previous convictions for burglary.
