A man with questionable immigration status was arrested on Christmas night after allegedly attacking a BMW with a machete in front of the Cape Cod Package Store on Route 28, according to police. — Aurelio Torres, 27, of 394 Bearse’s Way, Hyannis was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident after property damage, assault by dangerous weapon (machete), assault by dangerous weapon, two counts of injury to real or personal property, operating to endanger and operating without a license. — Torres was held without bail because of an ICE detainer with Homeland Security and because of the violent nature of his alleged crimes, according to court documents… Read More
