More pot-growing Mexican invaders arrested

Contra Costa Times — Walnut Creek, Calif.
Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men from Mexico and seized 5,495 marijuana plants early Friday at an outdoor garden site about 3 miles outside of Bridgeville. — According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies entered the site at 6:30 a.m. east of Bridgeville toward Showers Pass and located a campsite and a tent in the middle of a marijuana garden. — Deputies surrounded the tent and arrested two men, who were sleeping in the tent with a loaded .22-caliber rifle, according to the Sheriff’s office. — Deputies identified the men as Miguel Don Juan Herandez, 29, and Jose Maria Valencia-Baez, 26.
