On Thursday, Texas Rangers, U.S. Park Police and Border Patrol agents came under “heavy fire” from the Mexican side of the Rio Grande River, while involved in a drug interdiction operation in Mission, Texas. — The target of the multi-agency operation was a large drug load being smuggled in on the Rio Grande. — According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), a “suspicious” vehicle on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande along with two “cartel drug recovery boats,” were seen by U.S. officials.  When U.S. agents approached the boats, the smugglers opened fire. — U.S. lawmen returned fire and three cartel operatives were injured. — One Texas Ranger suffered minor injuries… Read More
